How to Play Louisiana Stud

Louisiana Stud is a card game that requires players to play against a pay table. Players begin by receiving two cards combined with three community cards to make a five-card hand. Players must determine whether to raise or fold after receiving the first two cards.

Step One

Players receive the first two cards. They must call, raise (1x to 3x their ante) or fold against the pay table to move on to the next step. Players can win this round with a pair of Jacks or better (a pair of 6's through 10's will push).

Step Two

After placing the first round of bets, the first community card will be revealed to the players. Now is the time to decide whether you’ll raise or fold for the second round. Players must now repeat the betting cycle for the second round.

Step Three

Once the second round has been completed, the next community card will be revealed. Again players will have another round of the betting cycle.

Louisiana Stud Card Game Tips:

  • Utilize the optional player bonus wager placed before hand is dealt.
  • Combine two cards with three community cards to make a qualifying five-card hand for the Louisiana Stud card game.
  • The player bonus side bet will win if the community cards have a pair or better.
