  • Background of your agency, its primary mission and major programs
  • The problem or need that your project addresses
  • The goals and objectives of the project and an implementation timetable
  • The people who will be served and how many
  • The geographic area the program will serve
  • Project budget and funding.

The Review Process

When the completed application is received, it is evaluated for conformity with guidelines. Qualified proposals are presented to the Board for consideration. Your organization will be notified to the acceptability of your proposal. Initial acceptance of your application does not guarantee funding.  Organizations with accepted proposals may be contacted to schedule a site visit with a member of the Board and/or staff. You will be notified of the final status of your request following Board action.

IF YOU RECEIVE A MID-DEL GRANT: Grantees are encouraged to distribute a news release announcing the grant and describing the project or program to be carried forth with Mid-Del Charitable Foundation funding.

IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A MID-DEL GRANT: All applications within the scope of the Foundation’s mission are given thorough study by the Board. However, the Foundation receives requests far in excess of its ability to give and, therefore, many more grant requests are denied than are approved.

Qualified organizations which are declined may reapply at a later date.
